Thank you, but my movies and series have the container mp4, use the codec h264, the audio is ac3 and the medien bitrate is under 2.000 kbps.

I'm surprised, when I read the specs I though it basically meant MP4 only unless your server can transcode. My server can't transcode and I am successfully playing decent size MKVs directly. PS4 set to 20Mbps.

The video is going through a very lightweight transcoding called remuxing or Direct Stream in other clients. The container format is changed and the contained streams are passed through as is, or audio only is re-encoded.
We need to make our decisions regarding transcoding/remuxing/direct playback more evident to users.
