I just re-installed my PC along with plex media server and everthing runs smoothly except one movie “Spirited away”. I streamed it without problem before the re-installation.
When I click play it loads the movie for 4 minutes (I timed the delayed twice) then it gives up and say “There was a problem playing this item.”
It’s a quite big movie, about 10 gig, so I checked that I have free space for the transcoding but it won’t play. I did a manual refresh on the specified item but it didn’t help. Playing the movie with VLC is no problem. I removed the movie and added it again, still same problem. I tryed to understand the log files to identify the problem but no luck. I attach them in case someone can read them and figure out the problem. (I have checked the option to extend debugging).
This is desperate! I have used Plex for years and now I am faced with this problem on my entire library…after updating to the latest version. Issues like this really shouldn’t be happening at such a mature stage of product development
Yep, I’m having the same issue after Media Player updated this evening. No issues yesterday now nothing will play today. Playback is fine from the web console.
The same issue here after the update of Media Player 1.3.1 to 1.3.2: "Es gab ein Problem bei der Wiedergabe… - no audio or video data played“. I’ve got this message never before, now with Media Player 1.3.2 it appears for every media, including my music library - every audio and video file!
I’m on a Mac mini as my Media Center with PMS 3.3.0 and my media on a NAS. Playback on Plex.web still works fine.
