Player Version#: 5.4.61-21757183-abG998BXXU3AUF6 (on S21 Ultra)

Hi,

I’m receiving “There was an error downloading this file. Swipe to remove or tap to retry.” for most of the files I’ve tried to download.

What I’ve tried:

  • Restarted Plex server
  • Reinstalled the Plex Android app.

Was successfully able to download 2 of the 15 movies.
The movies that did error, seem to have downloaded fully and then received the error.
After reinstalling the app, I tried to redownload one of the successful movies again - which succeeded and one of the failed ones - which failed again.

Tried to download a movie on 2 other phones, both failed.

Now, also tested with 1.23.5.4841, no luck.

Please provide the log from the newer PMS you just installed and also from the Android app.

I don’t know what that is. The current player for Android is 8.20.

Please post the entire server log file.

Edit - I see where you got that version number. That’s for something else. That is not the server log I need. I need the one from the actual server where your files are from.

In case it helps, I just reproduced the error and downloaded new logs - as there was a lot of activity during and between the others.

I am have the same issue on a kindle fire. Downloaded 12 movies and now everything is failing. My other kindle fire works fine.
