There was an error loading channels

There’s no guide anymore. Recordings and guide ends tomorrow. Rebooted countless times and downloaded w/o error a guide refresh, but keep getting this error. Ideas? Thanks.

@mjclifford You did delete your live TV and DVR and reset it up as they changed providers correct?

Yes, and it worked fine since that was done a couple of weeks ago. A couple of guide refreshes were manually done yesterday, which were successful. Any ideas? The TV part of this requires a lot of fiddling.

I wish I could be more of assistance I just don’t know what would be causing that issue. I personally use Emby now for live TV. Just was hoping it would be something simple.

The guide appeared an hour ago. I was about to rip out the HDHomerun devices then start over.

Unlikely that it’s the HD home runs as I use them as well.

I spoke too soon. The problem is back. No guide and no way to make recordings.

There’s an error loading channels if GUIDE is selected
There was an unexpected error loading the Guide is WHAT’S ON is selected
There was an unexpected error loading this library if BROWSE is selected.

The list of scheduled recordings is listed on DVR Schedule, but the calendar runs down since it can’t be refreshed.

Anybody have an idea. Plex for me is a boat anchor w/o the TV recording feature.

Guide ran out today. I have no clue what to do now. Can somebody help me develop a plan of increasingly more desperate actions?

Remove HDHomerun devices and add back in
Remove Plex version and install earlier (could use advice on steps)
Remove everything on Plex server. Start over
Give up. Without guide, I have no use for Plex.
Any other steps.

See earlier posts on this thread. Guide went away, briefly appeared again. I can download (over 8K entries), but it will not display.

Any help would be appreciated.

An update: It occured to me that Plex is set to download the guide every night at 2:00 A.M. That would explain why I did not have it, then had it for a day, then no longer had it the next day.

So I did yet another manual download and lo and behold, the guide appeared again.

So now the question is why is the guide not correctly finishing, after 18 months of Plex?

Another update. Three days ago I turned off the automatic guide refresh, which was set for 2 A.M. The last two mornings I did not have any surprises. Of course, I’ll have to baby sit Plex, perhaps weekly, to manually refresh, test, and perhaps run a subsequent refresh and test cycle.

Anybody have an idea how to actually fix the problem?

Which HDHR model do you have? I see this message all the time with a HDHR Dual (HDHR3-US)
