I’m using Media Center Master to categorise my TV Shows media library using thetvdb.com, is there a way I can force Plex to start using them to fetch the metadata as I find them more accurate?
I‘m not sure if I understand what you’re asking for.
Are you using the app to embed metadata to your files and want Plex to pick up that embedded metadata?
Sorry if I have confused, I want Plex to pick up the correct seasons and episodes of the files that I have named from thetvdb.com
For example: Matlock, Season 1 from thetvdb.com does not match Plex, the episodes are out by one as there is a special thrown in
So I have renamed them to match Plex but then MCM is out of sync
You should be able to set the episode order for this show to any of the orders available on TheTVDb. Originally, Plex had only supported their Aired, DVD and Absolute orders. Earlier this year the Plex TV Series agent has started supporting all available orders… if the one you need isn’t showing, you might need to refresh the show‘s metadata first.
You can edit it on individual shows (edit the show → advanced → episode order).
If you want to apply it for the entire library, do it on the library ![]()
The more granular options are only available on the show level.
Thanks
