Think I hit plex's filename limit

Server Version#: 1.19.3.2843
Player Version#: 1.10.0.1208-daa6b641

So I was adding in Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated to my server, with a folder structure like this:
Z:/TV Shows

  • /Scooby Doo - Mystery Incorporated*
  • /Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated (2010) S02 (1080p WEB-DL x265 HEVC 10bit AC3 2.0 RCVR) [UTR]*

  • /Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated - S02E01 - The Night the Clown Cried (1080p WEB-DL x265 HEVC 10bit AC3 2.0 RCVR) [UTR].mkv*

And it only ever seemed to find 2 episodes out of the season. Originally, the folder names also had “Season 1” or “Season 2” in them, but when i removed that, suddenly it found 20 more episodes in season 2 yet only 4 more in season 1. When i started to strip the filename down to something more simple like “Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated - S01E01 (1080p WEB-DL x265 HEVC 10bit AC3 2.0 RCVR) [UTR].mkv” then plex saw it! I couldn’t find anything about this online so I thought I would post it here so someone could see. I understand the more logical thing to do would be to just not have filenames that are so long but I feel like it’d be good for plex to account for this.

Z:/TV Shows/ <---library aimed only here
....Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated/
.......Season 02/
...........Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated - S02E01 - The Night the Clown Cried [1080p WEB-DL x265 HEVC 10bit AC3 2.0 RCVR UTR].mkv

(all in [Brackets] is ignored - one set only please)

Plex has no limit. Windows however does have a 260 character limit for paths, but you’re not there yet. Your filenames themselves are likely the issue.

try this instead, change your extra info from ( ) to [ ].

stuff brackets are ignored by plex IIRC.

mine
/data4/media/tvarchive/Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated (2010)/Season 01/Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated (2010) - s01e01 - Beware the Beast from Below [x264 AC3 5.1].mkv

I don’t put the extra info in the FOLDER name, it leads to duplicate folders if you have mixed qualities.
