I am sitting here ready to unleash hell on Plex. Why, well my username and password apparently changed. So… lets create another account to access my movies? That doesn’t work either. So I either blast the program and setting, and reinstall, or I find something THAT DOESN’T REQUIRE ME TO LOG IN LOCALLY!!! Seriously, who is the dumb ass that came up with that? Gotta protect the users from gaining access to their collections? I get the remote aspect to this, but locally??? Really??? I was with Plex from Day one, and helped where I could. Now… I hope this ship sinks while they are trying to access their local drives. t(’.’)t
Take a deep breath.
If you locked yourself out and want to link your server with a different Plex account instead there’s no need to loose anything.
You can unlink the server from the old account following this procedure:
PS: personally I’d be a bit worried about who changed your password if you didn’t
Take a look into your mailbox. There should be a mail with a link to reverse the email change.
