I have a Synology DS218j and started getting a drive mount error, which I resolved from the forum info on it but now I am getting a “This server is not powerful enough to convert video” when I try to play anything.

Thanks for that but the logs we need are from PMS.

  1. Settings - Server - General - DEBUG ON & VERBOSE OFF
  2. Start the playback to recreate the error
  3. After failure, wait 30 seconds for logs to settle.
  4. Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs
  5. Attach the ZIP file it gives you here.

Sorry about that. I forgot they released the new Plex/Web which changes the layout.

i am not sure how to investigate this.

Why would this all of a sudden start? I have had this NAS for almost two years with zero issues. It wasn’t until the recent Plex software updates that I am having an issue.

Also, I by chance downloaded the Plex Windows software and installed on my laptop, and the movies play fine there.
