Hello im having some issue with my plex server but the issue is only when i try to watch the videos on my computer with a browser. On my fire tv and phone they work fine but only on the browser is getting a error This server is not powerful enough to convert video but also getting Not enough CPU for conversion of this item. I dont get what is going on this just started to happen the only way to get it to work is by unchecking Disable video stream transcoding option dont know why this is fixing the issue but want to find out what is making the browser player not work when that option is check. my cpu is a i7-8086k my GPU is a 2080ti and my hard drive are not full and running well from what i can tell. (File removed) see if you can help me with this issue
Turn off verbose logging.
If it works with transcoding disabled, then when that is enabled I’m guessing you have Automatically adjust quality enabled in quality settings of the web app which is starting the transcode
I try that just now i disable Automatically adjust quality (Beta) and check the box on Disable video stream transcoding and its giving me the error again. it is only on the web player on the other apps it works good i even try to use the plex installer to repair just incase and nothing still same
Sorry I misread your original post about disabling video stream transcoding.
If the video needs the server to transcode to play in the browser, then disabling video streaming transcoding will cause that error. A browser cannot play as many types of video as your phone or fire TV

I have exactly that same issue! Only for certain videos the PMS running in Chrome is not able to direct play certain files for whatever reason… I’m going to leave that option checked though, because the videos still play fine on iOS/FireTV/XBOX/etc, which is what I care about… If I’m going to preview a file on my PC, I can still view it fine in the Plex App (for Windows, NOT the browser version) or just straight play the file in VLC in windows.
