The DVR guide shows the correct shows that are currently playing. The problem is it seems the time listed in the guide is UTC time. I run Plex on FreeNAS 11.3 and the jail it is running in has the correct date set, as does FreeNAS. Looking at the HD Homerun log, it sets its time to UTC. But when looking at the DVR Guide, its also UTC, and not adjusted to the server’s time zone.
In the end, it’s playing the right shows, just needs the time axis adjusted.
As long as the server is in the correct timezone and date/tme is ofc correct then it should do the calculations fine, your client does need to be in the correct timezone too, otherwise it will try to show what would make sense.
i.e. when I use our test servers in US, that’s all in PST, but I still see the correct times in GMT for a client in Europe!
AFAIK the dvr its self doesn’t really matter. But if you are sure the date/time settings are correct in server/clients than I’m not sure how this can happen
Very odd. Computer time is set correctly on client. Interestingly, I downloaded the Plex for Windows App, and it shows the time correctly in there, but not in the web app.
Nevermind, found what was wrong. Firefox’s network settings had “Use system proxy settings” checked off. Switched it to No proxy and it works as expected.
