I am new user for plex. i am getting backups from my iPhone for all my videos and photos and i have faced an issue in capturing date.
The problem is the date of capturing the photos and the videos as you can see in attached photos. That the capturing date is 09-09-2017 but after uploding on 18.02.2018 the photos from my iPhone to the server (WDC EX4100) the timeline is ordering according to the upload date. Logically i should see photos in my timetine according to capturing date.
At the same time i make upload from my personal photo camera and i don’t face a problem as i mentioned above.
This normally happens if Plex cannot read the embedded metadata of the files, usually because it is missing. How are you uploading these files, are you using Camera Upload within the iOS app?
Thank you for your message. I am using Plex app in my iPhone and using Camera Upload with this app.
How can i solved this problem? Do you have any way for it?
Plex should have no issues with this then. If you’re not already running the latest version of Plex Media Server then that’d be a good place to start (you should be in Version 1.11.3.4803). Once you’re fully updated then run an “Analyze” on that photo section from the Web interface - this option is in the left side bar when you hover over the photo library name, select the menu button and choose “Analyze”.
If you’re still seeing this issue after updating and running the analyze then send me some logs and a sample of the file that is having this problem so I can investigate.
i am already using this version(1.11.3.4803) of Plex and i selected analyze option, and it looks like solved for the photos meanwhile for videos problem is still existing.
this video was recorded on 29-05-2015 but its viewed as 18-02-2018(its uploading date)
