I’m uploading my photos and videos from my iphone, and all the videos are showing up as the current date on my photo timeline. The sort name on the files seems to have the correct date. How do I correct the date on the videos? The edit field doesn’t show a date field for videos. It should happen automatically.
I’m experiencing the same issue. Was there a solution for making the videos show up in the timeline correctly?
My filename is the correct date. I also changed the “Originally Available” date - didn’t sort correctly either.
I have photos I’ve uploaded from my phone and other places that go way back a decade etc… or so and many show up with bad dates that are crazy. Like showing up as 2081 for instance. I have a bunch of these photos in other services and those services correctly read the photo metadata and put them in the right timeline.
I’ve had similar issues. I wound up using EXIFTOOL to write the DateCreated and DateTaken file attributes and then it shows up correctly But agree Plex should be better at this as other programs didn’t need me to do this for the photos to display correctly on a timeline.

A bug is being fixed at the moment in handling of date exif tags on photos
If there are examples of issues, please provide details and results and samples
