One, if this is already added, sorry for this question. Two, if it is not, do we have a timeline of when this will be added. Basically I start recording a show (Football) and come in 2 hours late. I want to start watching the game and hitting skip (30 seconds) to skip the time in between plays, commercials and half time while I catch up to where it is live.
Anyone have any info on this?

It is very discouraging. The Plex forums are a mess. I see so many different postings about this issue when I perform a Forum search for “timeshift”. The forums are so fractured. It makes it difficult for customers to have a focused resource to voice their concerns about most issues. I guess that works for the Plex Team as it appears to dilute the attention to a serious issue. We can continue to include @elan and other Plex Team members in these postings but it doesn’t do any good. Plex had the advantage at the beginning but competitors like Emby have bested them in the Live TV and DVR functionality and responsive and informative support in well structured forum.

We have some of our best engineers working on the timeshiftimg issue. I know it sucks, it’s been hard to reproduce reliably for us and pin down the cause, but we’ll fix it.
Thank you for your response. I apologize if I upset you. I am really hopeful you can get this issue resolved. I think a statement from you addressing the situation would help alleviate some of the stress that your customers are feeling. The forums are full of multiple posts and most of them overlap and rumors are spreading. It won’t be long until people reach out to your sponsored supporters on YouTube and other platforms and these issues get broad coverage.
I have been with Plex for a long time. You have built a fantastic product.
