Hi all, I’ve been using the the tizen 2.4 preview on my 2016 UHD Samsung since day one. It seems every iteration of preview gets better and better. Thanks @sLumpy for your efforts.
Since ca. 5.6 all the playback bugs seem to be squashed (for me at least).
The only nagging issue I have is about the design - the on-screen menu that pops up during playback when skipping or pausing the video is just MASSIVE - it takes roughly third of the screen.
This is seriously annoying when watching sports and skipping over some boring bits, as the menu blocks the bottom half of the screen (where all the stats are) forever (it feels like forever).
REQUEST: Please add a “compact menu” option for the on-screen menu or at least make it half the size it is now.
BUG: Every now and then the background of a movie in the info screen is not completely dimmed - one or two quadrants of the poster image that should be displayed in the background are shown in normal brightness. This makes the rest of the screen difficult to read. Restart of the Plex app solves the problem every time.
