Too much advertisement

Hi there, yesterday I added and tried Plex.tv for the first time, but I was kind of shocked to find out the amount of advertisement that Plex imposes to their viewers.
Tubi, for instance, would have a max of 6 ads, and not nearly as many commercial brakes as Plex does, and the same goes for Roku. - Any reasonable person understands that they need advertisers to survive, but they also need viewers, and I think that imposing so many commercial brakes with as many as 12 ads at one giving time, will not generate a greater audience but rather the opposite. Which is a shame, because initially I thought that Plex was a very viable alternative, but not when that implies having to be constantly interrupted and forced to spend more time watching their adds rather than the actual movie. Needless to say that I was very disappointed and it is very unlikely that I’ll use this platform again. Best regards.

I believe many of us run local Plex servers mainly to AVOID ADS.

I really believe Plex’s attempt to push users to subscription or ads based streaming is a mistake in that it ignores the real reason Plex exists at all in the first place.

100% correct! I completely endorse @Kilgry’s comments. I’ve removed access to Plex.tv shows from my Plex Media Server menus as I find all the ads too much of a pain to endure. If I want to watch add, I’ll watch FTA tv: Plex.tv with ads, is just a PITA.
