Total NOOB question about ports: inbound or outbound in win 10 firewall?

Server Version#: 1.19.4.2865
Player Version#:appletv

I have opened ports in my router and I can successfully achieve remote access.

Do I need to further open ports in win 10 firewall ie TCP 32400? If so should this port be opened for inbound or outbound traffic (or both)

I mean i get remote access as it is. Does opening ports in the firewall improve the traffic or can i get away with leaving them closed?

When you install Plex server, the necessary ports get opened automatically. No need to do anything manually.
Just make sure that your network connection is classified as ‘private’ and not ‘public’ in Windows.
