Complete noob question about plex and remote access through win 10 firewall

I have a port opened on my router. Do I also need to open the same port in win 10 firewall. I am using default tcp 32400

Do I need to open 32400 as an inbound rule or an outbound rule (or both)?

Normally, Plex will automatically create the necessary rules in the Windows firewall when the installation is performed.

Sometimes, you’ll have to verify that the status of the network connection in Windows is ‘private’ and not ‘public’. Otherwise the firewall will close all ports.

That is unless you use public.

Using ‘public’, if you are running a plex server will present quite a few challenges.
