Track artist is not populated on single-artist albums

My library is fully tagged, and Plex is configured to prefer local metadata. The ‘Track Artist’ tag is populated in the entire library, including on single-artist albums.

I rarely view my music library by tracks, but I did today while trying to replicate someone else’s issue. I discovered that Plex apparently chooses not to populate the track artist field if it is the same as the Album Artist. I suppose I always knew this, but it never occurred to me that it might cause a problem until I tried this.

If this is a bug, it should be fixed. If this was a design decision, I think it should be reconsidered, for the single reason that it is impossible in Tracks view to sort the library by track artist.
