Tracks being renamed and numbered to 0

Howdy all…been using plexAmp since it came out and I’m seeing a new behavior.

Some of my albums will have “extra” tracks that I add to them for the same artist. I always make sure the extra track numbers do not conflict with the original album tracks, the files are named correctly and the primary meta data matches the original tracks. This has worked with no issues for awhile.

But recently, I’m seeing these extra tracks be renamed to the album title and given a track number of 0 (only when they get played)…these extra tracks still play fine in playlists and everything.

Any tips on how to address? or Are my days of customizing albums over?

Thanks for the great work, PlexAmp team.

  • Which agent and scanner are selected in the properties of the library?
  • Is “Prefer local metadata” activated?
  • Which file format is used for these extra tracks?
  • Could you show an overview over file names, folder organization, and embedded meta tags like the below for an affected album?

-Scanner is PLex Music
-Agent is Plex Music
-yes, Prefer local metadata is activated
-extra files are mp3s
-tagscanner screenshot attached

I’d probably try to clean up those track numbers and make sure there are only numbers in there.
I’d also put a 1 into Disc # of all tracks.
Then Refresh Metadata of the album.

PMS 1.28.0 will also bring a bugfix for music libraries which may be relevant to this.
