I understand at the moment that TheTVDb and TheMovieDatabase are undergoing changes and the metadata retrieval for Plex has been effected.
I am not technically savvy on all this, but if Plex have a cache of images/metadata from these services, why are programmes and movies not collecting data from these caches if the services they use ‘for updates’ are not matching older metadata that should already be cached?
I wiped out my Plex server and started again, but the only way I’ve been able to get the process to proceed is by using 3rd party meta collectors to save in the files/folders and Plex to retrieve that stored info…
Surely, over a month of failures, Plex should have been able to resolve this by now?
How about trakt.tv? They have the info cached too? An agent for Trakt perhaps?
