The new IP address of the RPi should not matter. These addresses are not stored for permanent use anyway, and the RPi should happily work with whatever IP address the DHCP server in the router assigns to it in each session. The only problem would be if the router has some internal firewall with Internet access permissions set per IP address, as those would have to be refixed after IP address changes.
The trailers and extras you mentioned earlier; are those stored locally or found by PMS on Internet ?
If they are not local, then they are delivered by servers on the Internet, in much the same way as all 'channel' content, so it makes sense for both of these features to fail in similar ways. As for the reason why anything fails here, that remains to be seen, but in my opinion any router which is not fully configurable is inherently suspect. I'd throw it out and get another that obeys me.
But assuming that you are stuck with that router for now, we should try to find out how it works and which aspects of it work properly. I assume that your RPi is connected to this router on one of its LAN ports with the PMS server connected to another of those LAN ports. And your RPi does connect to your PMS server so apparently the LAN-switch part of the router is working. But for use of channels and online extras the router also needs to 'NAT' the RPi traffic for passage to/from the Internet, and that seems to not work correctly (assuming the extras you mentioned are online ones, and not stored locally in your PMS media source folders).
Have you checked that the channel failure occurs for all channels tried and not just for Youtube ? (so we can exclude site issues)
I often have problems with some channels myself, mainly due to specific protocols not supported or due to Geo-blocking. (Many servers limit their broadcast streams to specific nations.)
I have the same issue (for 5 days now) on my Openelec + PHT last build from Mark Walker. Trailers and extras don't work anymore (media could not be found...). Channels works perfectly though.
On win7 on the same Intel NUC, trailers and extras works perfectly.

That's very interesting. This means that the 'extras' problem is not RasPlex-specific, but rather due to some missing support in OpenELEC. It would be interesting to see CODEC usage info for the trailers and extras that work on Win7 but fail on OpenELEC.
I don't have any other OpenELEC setup than RasPlex, but I'll try to prepare one now, for future testing.

Just checked this and realised I have the same problem, but only since I upgraded PMS, (it was working 10 days ago - last time I watched a movie) to the latest PlexPass release, will roll back to previous tomorrow and check.
It has been a long while, mainly because of the lack of activity at the 'slack' site. (Just occasional Github issues)

I think we can safely say that this is not a RasPlex issue, since it was introduced by a server change and affects not only RasPlex but also other OpenELEC-based PHT implementation. Even if it is due to a definite lack in OpenELEC, this is not something we can change in the code of RasPlex. (Would require some OS patch.)
I found out that extras & trailers work, if i enable "visualize dirty regions" in the settings! But I don't know what that means...
It was a bit too early... I tested around and one time a trailer started, but it had nothing to do with the regions setting, I think. because I couldn't repeat this.

Had a look at this and for some reason Rasplex had logged out of MyPlex for some reason and I hadn't noticed, logged back in and everything works OK again (on PMS 0.9.11.1) Doh!!
I am using the newest PMS 0.9.11.1 running on a ReadyNAS 102. But I also tried to rollback to 0.9.11.0 with the same effect.

This is definitely not a Rasplex issue, everything is working fine for me with PMS 9.11.1 running on Ubuntu 12.04 (now that I'm logged back in to MyPlex on th Pi I noticed the issue on), unfortunately I don't have any Windows kit available to test (moved to OSX and Linux five years ago) and neither do I have any type of NAS. I know dlanor runs Windows PMS, perhaps he can test to see if it's Windows PMS at fault. There have been occasions in the past with errors on Windows and NAS PMS releases which worked OK on OSX and Linux boxes.

I’m still running an older PMS version myself (v0.9.9.16), since I’ve seen too many reports of problems with all newer versions, without fixes for some of those problems in later releases. So I’m not upgrading my server until I see that those problems have been fixed. My extended family depends on me to provide their entertainment through ‘Shared Content’, and I don’t want to disappoint them just because of some PMS bugs.
In other words: I’ve opted out of PMS beta testing. I need reliable PMS versions and will stick with the latest such.
