I’ve been a Plex server owner for 10 years, with a lifetime Plex pass.
In September or October the Live TV and VOD from Plex disappeared, without any communication. Turns out the local regulations in South Africa prohibit those services from Plex.
Then yesterday I noticed that only my Libraries contain trailers, but not the Watchlist, nor Discover. I was enjoying Discover’s trailers. Now gone. What’s up?
and why can’t there be a little email in-advance of losing access to a feature.

Indeed, South Africa. It looks like all Seasonal lists have also been disabled.
While I understand the streaming content, and regulatory issues, the removal of trailers doesn’t make sense; it’s a great pity, I liked this feature a lot.
Watchlist is in Plex will wither for me now.
I believe we had to remove the trailers specifically for South Africa as these also get categorised as content that require local ratings approval.

Maybe you could let the comms team know that when existing features are shed for a geo it would be nice to get a message to explain the what, why and when.
At present, while it’s bummer that the value derived from features is eroding, it’s worse that it’s inexplicable, with the onus on subscribers to spend time scratching for reasons why.
For me this has triggered a further cascade of doubt that any glitch encountered is another thing that’s been taken away.
