So… one Movies/By Folder is working, while the second is not?
You might want to try to repair/update your library. Or send logs in order to have us investigate…
stop PlexConnect then edit Settings.cfg and set the loglevel = High
start PlexConnect then navigate to your issue then upload your PlexConnect.log to here if desired or consult @baa for further assistance
I did as asked, the log is very, very long do I just copy and then paste the log here? When I open Plex on my ATV in “High” it takes much longer for the media to show up, is this normal?
When I start my Plex on ATV3 – Trailers opens select Library, select Movies.default to All Movies and thumbnails appear, click on movie and it opens & plays
If i select Movies and then select By Folder thumbnails appear when I select anyone I get this message:
“Trailers is unavailable. Try again later”
If I select, from Library any of the other choices they work as expected, either by All Movies or By Folder.
This started after I upgraded from ReadyNAS RN102 to ReadyNAS RN202, same HDD’s and firmware
I’ve deleted the Movies Library and created it again, same result.
shows basically nothing - but the fact that your PlexConnect is somewhat old. Based on the version string I would estimate between 6month and 1 year… Are you able to update to the latest sources?
In the generated aTV-XML (grid mode) at the bottom of the file, I can’t see anything particularly wrong. Nothing obvious at least. But: With that login option it takes about 1:30min to generate the file. I am not sure if aTV is waiting that long… Just for a test: Set loglevel=Off, this will generate the response much faster, though we wouldn’t know what’s going on. Again, for a test it will be fine, for debugging issues we need data.
PlexConnect - the collection of Python scripts, JS files, XML templates. If you are running it on your NAS, then yes, it’s the one on your NAS.
Current sources - as always - at https://github.com/iBaa
“2.7.11” is the Python version, the interpreter that is running the scripts.
07:10:48 PlexConnect: Version: 0.5-dev
This line is the actual “version information” of PlexConnect. While overall this is the latest instance, about 10month ago (ok, just saying a number here), we added a date to that string. Not sure if I always remember updating it, but the current version shows adds -101215, as in last December.

I took a break from this for a bit and decided to try again. Tonight I jumped back into it and updated my PlexConnect, successfully to my surprise, and everything is working as it should.
