Trailers wont work

Any one having issues with the trailers loading on all the movies? Plex automatically updated all the movie covers as well as the background and information about the movie, like who plays in it and etc… most movies have the trailers with them, but also some dont. probably 50% of my movies dont have trailers… why? all of my agents are on and have API keys entered to all of them. who does plex go through to get their trailers and how to i automatically add trailers. I’ve tried updating the meta information and updating library. nothing will work.

the last night work for me…, yeah i suposse they can fixed it.

I had the same issue start this week… my trailers worked great for years prior to this week… but now when you start a trailer it spins up to about 13% and then stops loading … eventually timing out with a trans-coding error.

NO Verbose logging on… and I did confirm it wasn’t turned on via some update. I’m a PLEX PASS customer with newest release like the many others complaining of this same issue…

Howdy,

I’ve noticed that Plex trailers and extras do not work on my “Plex Media Player” but they do work when I use Plex through my browser. I’ve also noticed that 5.1 works on the “Plex Media Player” but not when using my browser.

Anyone have any ideas?

check the time on the system that the PMS is running on. I had an issue where the time was several hours off and it would not load any of the extra content or play it through the clients. Correcting the time locally on the server instantly fixed this issue.

Thanks RedRocker, I am a Plex Pass customer and for a couple years, I have always received regular notices when a Plex Server update came out (beta or full release) and I would always just let it update (when it said an update was available). After reading a few other blog comments, I noticed people mentioning a newer Windows Plex Server version that what I was running so I took action and manually downloaded (and upgraded) the current installed version which had always noticfied me and prompted me to update prior… Long story short, I apparently had NOT got an update prompt for a while. So I took a look at the current version available and in fact, it was two or three .dot versions newer… So I OVER INSTALLED the newest binary and BING BAM BOOM, my trailers started working again. I am currently on version “1.11.0.4666” … running on Windows 10 Pro… I hope this feedback helps someone else who may be experiencing a similar experience…

Hello I’m Mac osx yosemite user. 2 years User, and since one week my trailers and extras also don’t work!!!
It appears charging,but not work!1!!
ANy other Idea???
Thanks

Same issue here. Trailers have not loaded with meta data for about 2 weeks now.

Chiming in with the same. I’ve resorted to the trailer addict plugin but it’s not super reliable and adds duplicates. Really annoying.

I tried Trailer Addict as well. It seem to bring down the trailers, but then I would try to play them from Apple TV and nothing, just keep getting that spinning thing. I eventually removed it as well.

As a Plex Pass lifetime member I also have lost my pre-movie trailers. I have scoured the forums and guides for every movie trailier setting and it still does not work. All I read is people are having the same issues and there are NO answers to resolve the problem. Although Plex has many benefits it seems that customer service is not one of them. This is a paid add-on with Plex Pass and I don’t see Plex doing much to fix it or have a FAQ area when these types of issues are addressed and resolved. The movie pre-trailers did work at one time, but over the last updates it has stopped and never worked again.

Running Server macOX Sierra 10.16.6
Plex Server Version 1.13.0.5023
Movies watched on Apple TV.
