if and when i decide to get trakt.t vip will it sync up what ive already watched on plus thus far ? or does it only take effect once i buy and add it to plex ? cheers guys, appreciate any responses, Ross

The webhooks won’t sync what you’ve already watched but you can use something like GitHub - Taxel/PlexTraktSync: A python script that syncs the movies, shows and ratings between trakt and Plex (without needing a PlexPass or Trakt VIP subscription) to sync your watched history to Trakt.

thanks man but when i get trakt vip wil my star ratings carry over to trakt , and how will it work considering trakt has 1-10 but plex only has 1-5 stars, or will it just simply keep track of watch history ?
In fact, with PlexTraktSync, you can sync without any VIP. Plex has now upgraded to a ten-point system, and because there are half stars, they can be converted to each other.

ah ok got it so a 7 rating on trakt would be what on plex please ?, so if i got it right a 5 star rating will be 10/10 on trakt ?
Three and a half stars, 3.5x2=7.
One star equals two, three and a half stars equals seven.

I use PlexTraktSync, PlexTraktSync allows you to set up the sync method, you can set up a bi-directional sync, or a uni-directional sync, you can have Plex sync to Trakt or Trakt sync to Plex or to each other, and you can set up the items to be synced, such as ratings, watch state, collections, etc… I don’t know much about Trakt VIP sync.
