Transcode On AMD GPU. Cannot load nvcuda.dll?

Server Version#: Version 1.18.9.2571
Player Version#: Any
Hi Guys,
I have just put PMS on to my PC. I’m running windows 10 latest build with the above PMS version.
I have a dedicated GPU AMD PowerColor Red Dragon RX Vega 56
All works good but i’m notice in my logs when I remote stream I get lots of
[FFMPEG] - Cannot load nvcuda.dll
[FFMPEG] - Could not dynamically load CUDA

This repeats a fair few times. I moved over to my PC to be able to utilise the GPU but it seems thats not the case.

I have a plex pass and Use hardware acceleration when available & Use hardware-accelerated video encoding.

Any help would be cool.
Thanks Guys

Ok EDIT:
I get this error on any transcode so 1080p will produce the same errors not just 4k.

So the real question is AMD card why is it trying to use CUDA as thats Nvidia…

You have Hardware transcoding selected, as it tries to initialize the drivers of the three supported (Nvidia, Intel, AMD) starting with Nvidia.

I and many other users transcode 4K regularly without any issues. Doesn’t even stress the GPU all that much. I suspect you don’t actually have any technical knowledge to backup your answer, but I’d love to hear it if you do.

Maybe he meant 4K HDR content? Because of the lacking tonemapping.

Maybe, but his answer was very generic and this problem is very specific. I specifically switched to using Windows for PMS to gain ability to transcode 4K via GPU so I’m genuinely looking for an answer.
