Transcoder Error with Hauppage WinTV DualHD

Hey,

I’ve been attempting to get the DVR to record, but each time I try to record anything it simply says “There was a transcoder error”

Server version 1.7.1.3856

Unfortunately… we don’t know. Maybe try reinstalling the drivers? I asked one of our folks and it has us scratching our heads.

If you have another computer you could try, maybe just install the driver (no wintv) and see if it works there? Super strange.

@edibleegg did you had any issues detecting channels? I’ve got the DualHD too on a windows server 2012R2 and he can’t find any channels

I did - and now I can’t even search for channels anymore :frowning:
I can click on the button to search but nothing happens

Hmm, I think the issue might have either been a poor signal or the small antenna that comes with the WinTV isn’t very good. I hooked it up to an Amazon Ultra Thin Indoor 35 Mile antenna and it worked fine.

Correct, don’t use the antenna that comes w/ the tuner!
