My Plex Server is getting worse and worse with each PMS update. I am on Beta channel.
Most annoying symptom would be the buffering issues.
When I playback an 8mbit Mkv file the stream runs for 5 seconds, then buffers for 20. Runs for a few minutes then buffers again.
There is no reason for this as far as I know. The CPU is not even being used before the buffering starts. A few months ago I had no problem transcoding BD-Rips and now even 3mbit 720p mkv’s give me a massive headache.
Additionally the streams take forever to start, like somewhere from 10 seconds to 3 minutes on my chromecast.
Some facts about the setup:
i5 4570
Media on HDD, System on SSD
24GB Memory
Chromecast is in the same room as the AP, everything is Local.
Cast is connected at ~ 5Ghz with ~ 350/450Mbit
Server has 1G Lan
Server is running on Windows 10 Pro
There were no hardware changes since the issues began.
