Transcoder/Optimizer grainy - Original is not

Noticed for the past several months that the Transcoder/Optimization for mobile is creating sub par video files. The original is typically 720p (7.2Mbps) whereas the optimized for mobile is 720p (2.7Mbps). The video is grainy on android (Pixel and FireHD).

Anyone else seeing this?

Do you mind posting screenshots of what you are seeing?

Did you enable the hardware accelerated feature? This is known to produce lower quality than with this feature off.

It was checked. I am going to uncheck it and redo the optimization for the recorded shows.

I turned off the HW acceleration and the transcoding is much better… thank you…
