My transcoder isn’t working, emailed and messaged for tech support, told to post in the forums.
Let me get more information.
I have uninstalled, deleted folder from both appdata and program files, I removed the Plex register keys, changed the name and deleted rsa folder in crypto. I wore out the analyze library button. But Still I get either Shaka 1001 or transcoder failed to start errors.
Verify you do not have verbose logging enabled or Plex tokens enabled in your sever settings.
Close the Plex Server application, wait one minute, start the application, wait two minutes, use a client to play a file that causes this error, after the error happens wait 30 seconds, then use a web browser and access your Plex Server settings, go to help -> download logs. Attach that zip file to your next post, along with the name of the file you played.

Do you have hardware acceleration enabled in your transcoder settings?
Also, does this happen with every file you play? Does this happen on every client that requires transcoding?
Yes I have hardware acceleration on. Not every file, i can play the episode before that no problem. Some files work some do not, at first I thought maybe the format but that wasn’t it, also can’t sync or optimize.
You can turn it off, as it appears you don’t have any hardware that supports it.
Are you creating this content or are you downloading it from different sources?

Downloaded content can be a mix of good and bad encodes, which also makes troubleshooting difficult - known good files that don’t play make it easier to figure out why problems arise.
I have tried it on content I know worked before. Want me to rerun the steps from earlier and post the logs?
Yes. Also, if you can provide a sample of a file that doesn’t work and then message me a link to that file, I’ll take a look at it.

So is this Plex support? Post on a forum and hope someone can fix it?
Seems like they should have something better? They sure take my money quick enough.
I think we need update on transcoding!!! And were is support? I have already payd for pass and my Pc is 10 core 52gbram and 1 gb upload so my pc is not the problem…
