2 posts were split to a new topic: Missing HW device on Beta 1.42.1.10060
I no longer run the preview as it was taking too much of my time but I know that it happens with all MKVs (where delay > 5s). I’d suggest that you stop wasting your time on MKV delays because it’s a can of worms (I have a bunch of workarounds in my own Transcoder to make it all work) and this specific window_size issue is pretty unrealistic to happen naturally anyway (unless you download your movies).
@bur115 The preview is going live soon so everyone will be on it
anyway, since we cannot replicate the green subtitles i believe its a device specific issue and I have 2 theories. I don’t suppose you’d be willing to test 2 builds and let me know which if either address the issue? if so what distro do you need?
@chris_decker08 I know you’re not the one who can even make such decisions but if you really want my time you should hire me ![]()
But if it’s just 2 builds then sure, give me the DEBs.
Running Version 1.42.2.10102 and no major issues
I did notice if I leave transcodes CPU and GPU set to unlimited the system would report it can’t do more after x amount
running a dual 8592+ Intel Xeon rig with a Blackwell 6000 rtx so I know I’m not limited
There a hard limit somewhere?
Does the current public beta build 1.42.2.10122 incorporate the changes in this forum preview or no? Thanks!
No, it doesn’t.
@tom80H Beast!! You are so fast
Thanks for confirming! I’ll hold off “upgrading” then
Will the next beta release include it maybe?
Yes ![]()
Im exited to try! Ill get on the forum preview release, but I just finished building my Plex server moving from windows to linux (it was actually easy) performance improvements were noticeable. Appreciate all your guys efforts! youve made a crazy amazing product.
(not in the preview/beta) I’m sometimes getting
[hwdownload @ 0x76d14ac1f000] Invalid output format p010le for hwframe download.
This was apparently a ffmpeg bug Making sure you're not a bot! fixed here: Making sure you're not a bot!
Will that commit make it into the previews or betas? Or more importantly, the live release?
@bindiboi at this point the change will not make it into the initial beta release, however it will make it into all the hotfixes after. This next release will have a longer than normal beta period where we expect many hotfixes as users who have not tried this preview find additional regressions.
What am I missing as Im currently on 1.42.2.10102, if I use the forum preview release will I lack something of importance?
Does the new public release 1.42.2.10156 include the new transcoder? Release notes don’t mentioned anything.
It doesn’t mention it because it’s not in the beta build yet.
As this functionality has been officially released in the 1.l43.0 beta I am closing this preview. Thank you all so much for your help!
