Transcoding and Plex Server on Synology

The version available on Synology Packager center is : 1.10.0.4523-648bc61d4

I’ve just bought a new Synology and I want to promote installation from the package center.

Does the version 1.0.0.4523 support hardware encoding (GPU) knowing that I have a valid Plex Pass subscription?

If you want to use Hardware Transcoding, you’ll not get what you need from Package Center.
Synology only makes the 32 bit version available. You need the 64 bit version. Why they don’t offer it is unknown.

Go to www.plex.tv/downloads and grab the 64 bit version for DSM 6+
