DS916+ 32 > 64bit Hardware Transcoding

Player Version#: 4.51.3

I have a DS916+ ( DSM 6.2.4-255542) and my understanding form reading various posts that Synology packages the default 32bit version. In order to install the 64bit version it needs to be downloaded manually from [https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/] which I did already. Now the next step which am not seeing is where I can enable hardware transcoding? Is there an additional step I need to take in order see this option?

Do I need to purchase PlexPass? I am not interested in the extra channels and features it offers. I just want the hardware transcoding. Thanks.

Thank you. I wonder if they offer a different payment option for just the transcoding feature. I am probably going to call their support.

Consult the NAS compatibility chart but the 916+ is really limited when it comes to transcoding. NAS Compatibility List | Plex Support
