Transcoding broken on macOS Sequioa?

I’m running PMS on a Mac Mini M1, files are on a Synology via SMB.
Worked like a dream for two years.

Since a couple of days, I have problems with transcoding. When playing on an ATV for example it brings the error “server too slow …” when direct play is not activated. Direct play still works perfect it possible. When downloading or optimizing media, transcoding is also super slow (taking hours instead of minutes). There isn’t any cpu utilization on the Mac Mini while transcoding.

I’m quite sure that the problems started after installing Sequioa. Didn’t have problems for years like this. Nothing else in my setup changed (not the network, not the players).

Are there known problems with PMS + Sequioa + (hw?)transcoding?
