Hi, yesterday I noticed a strange behavior while watching a movie while outside of my network with iOS app and with Plex app on samsung TV. The movie has an audio track that mediainfo recognizes this way:
Audio
ID : 2
Format : E-AC-3
Format/Info : Enhanced Audio Coding 3
Format settings, Endianness : Big
Codec ID : A_EAC3
Duration : 1 h 50 min
Bit rate mode : Constant
Bit rate : 1 536 kb/s
Channel(s) : 6 channels
Channel positions : Front: L C R, Side: L R, LFE
Sampling rate : 48.0 kHz
Frame rate : 187.500 FPS (256 spf)
Compression mode : Lossy
Stream size : 1.18 GiB (7%)
Title : DD+Plus
Language : English
Default : Yes
Forced : No
The result of the decoding is a stuttering audio. I tried to restart the server, to delete the codec directory (as I read somewhere) but the problem is still there.
I tried other movies with (apparently to me) the same audio codec and the problem does not show up. I noticed that the other movies thohis seems to me a little high (1536 Kb/s). Maybe this could be related?
If I play the movie in the original format the audio plays well.
Does anyone have some suggestion?
Thanks.
Edit: I did some more tests with other movies in my Library. I only have another one with EAC3 with a similar bitrate and it transcode well, so the bitrate seems to be innocent
