Transcoding needs to be frequently restarted

Hi folks,

I’ve been using Plex for 2 months now, and until two weeks ago, it was a dream. Unfortunately, since two weeks ago, I’m unable to play multiple successive episodes without rebooting the server running Plex.
I tried just restarting the Debian service, but it never really stops, a few transcoding processes won’t stop, even when I try to kill-9 them.

I tried running it from scratch by reinstalling everything and wiping all config, but I still have the same issue.

It seems to be a server issue since the behavior is the same regardless of the client device: once the server is rebooted, the first episode or movie watched works fine, but the next one loads undefinitely creating a process that hangs forever.

My hardware is an intel nuc, without GPU

Need to see the server DEBUG logs which capture this happening.

(Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs)

Grab the logs right after you START playing something, You don’t need to go any further.

The logs will show us what’s happening.
