PMS never starts playing. Transcode times out?

This started happening recently where if I tried playing a video that required transcoding (ex: shows with subs that needs to be burned in), I see in the logs the server requesting the segment from the transcoder but nothing ever comes in. Eventually the LG tv player throws an error and the web player just sits there forever waiting. I’ve tried switching versions, clearing out the Cache and Codecs folder, but still same issue.

I have been having this problem for 3–4 weeks now. It was playing fine (I still managed to get it to work by randomly changing the Advanced Settings) but suddenly it stopped working no matter what random permutation I tried.

I even tried to Show Console Log, but couldn’t make any sense of it. It just doesn’t seem to be getting any response from the remote server.

Strange thing is I can see all the files listed but it will not play any (no theme music for different videos too). The same Unexpected Error message pops up. I tried playing from the iOS app and it worked so the problem has to do with LG TV.

Did some search and apparently it was because LG updated the SSL certificates, but so far I didn’t see any Plex update to resolve this. The app was last released on WebOS store mid 2022 … :sleepy:

I’m not sure this is on the TV’s side of things because this issue also replicates for me in Firefox on Windows.
