Transcoding on a iBOX-R1000 mini PC?

Hi,

I Just read an article on the new asrock mini PC. It should have a AMD Ryzen R1000 Embedded CPU and a Vega 3 GPU.

Has anyone here any experience with this processor and gpu?

I’m wondering if this could be used to transcode on te fly.

I was thinking about 4K hdr Hevc 10bit AC3 5.1 and external srt to a player that only support 1080p 264 AAC 5.1.

Anyone?

  1. No HW decoding (No QuickSync video in AMD CPUs), No AMD GPU HW of any kind
  2. 4000 passmarks will not handle HEVC HDR. You need 10,000 passmarks for 1 stream.
