Transcoding On/Off per Device

Hey All

I use Plex for a long time now and just recently bought a plex pass because i thought it would be possible this way to tell per device if it should use its own hardware to play the video or use the server as a transcoder.

For example: My gaming PC is capable to run the conversion or even the native file by itself, while my PS4 cant handle it and should use the server as a transcoder.

Is this even possible or am i missing something in the settings.

I already tried to disable Transcoding completely but that gives an error on my PS4 telling me that it is not powerfull enough and thats why im asking this question.

Well you can always set playback quality in the client. Set quality to original on your PC, and to some lower quality on the PS4
