I set my server up years ago on an old iMac (2.3 GHz, Quad-Core i7, 16 GB Ram, Catalina.
I have a usb-c connected drobo with 70 TB storage and overall things work well. Usually only one stream runs at the same time and 60% of the time it is in the local network. But in extreme cases it is possible that 3-4 people (external) might stream. I have only 1080p content. I never messed much with any settings since the setup and I just wanted to find out if I have configured things ok for the use case I outlined above. The one setting I was never sure about is if I should turn on the use hardware acceleration or not.
