Transcoding speed < 1 in a high end pc

Hi all

Ive the latest plex server/client, am streaming from a Razer pc with Intel i7-8750h (12k PassMark, way above the 2k required for hd movies), but keep getting ‘buffering’ on most videos I play.
Ive checked the logs (attached): transcoding speed is <1 (0.7 etc)

Any hints on what I can do? I dont have issues playing these files on vlc or kodi for instance andI can play demanding games like Red Dead Redemption 2, so Id say CPU speed/overload is not an issue…

That isn’t a 1080p file, It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) (2160p BluRay x265 10bit HDR Tigole).mkv . You would need 5000 more passmarks or the Plex Pass so you can use hardware transcoding.

The server is connected via wireless and I suppose the TV is as well, not the best combination as wireless bandwidth fluctuates and is shared with other devices. The server was also having trouble resolving plex.tv which could lead to devices thinking they are remote to the server further limiting bandwidth.
