Transcoding use very much CPU since last Update Synology

Server Version: 1.21.1.3830
Player Version: Web 4.47.3 / iOS 7.11
DSM Version 6.2.3-25426-Update 3

Hi there

Since I updated my Syno to Update 3 of this Version, HW transcoding always use very much CPU. I tried older Versions of Plex, to exclude this is the reason.
HW transcoding is displayed in Plex, but CPU is still very high… Before this Update it was ˋnormalˋ. I canˋt go back to Update 2, without delete everything…(File removed)
Now I donˋt know what to do, do you have any solutions for this?
Log is attached.

Thank you very much for your help!

Greetings

Okay thank you very much for your fast response. I thought the CPU usage was less before the Update…

Thank you. Happy New year.

Hi trumpy
Sorry for disturbing again..
Now I am watching (and 2 friends of mine) and nothing (except Video 1080p to 720p) has to transcode, but CPU is always >30% and sometimes more than 60%.. logs attached again, can you maybe take a look again?
Thank you.

I know this, but the CPU wasn‘t so high with playing any formats - until I upgraded to the new DSM… CPU was always 10 - max. 20% even when 8 Users are watching. The NAS is a Synology DS918+, I thought this one is powerful enough to use for Plex. Before I used this NAS, I used Nvidia Shield TV Pro but I think the NAS is more powerful for using as Server and I use the Shield for streaming only.

I think the Problem isn’t just the Plex Version, it’s something with the new DSM Version 3 from Synology. Maybe some permissions changed or something else… I tried remove Plex and installed all Versions until back to 1.20.5.3600-47c0d9038, but nothing changed… I can’t go back to DSM Update Version 2 without deleting everything… so I think I have to live with that, until a new Update from DSM or maybe Plex with another permission is comming

But again: thank you very much for your patience :+1:
