Transfer PLEX Media Server to New PC

Server Version#:1.35
Player Version#:1.37

My PC had a complete meltdown recently that required a new build. I was able to save the PLEX Media server data from the AppData folder. My new computer has a new PC name versus the old one. How will this impact my ability to transfer my PLEX information the new PC and are there any specific steps that I need to take?

Thank you for the information Otto. I matched my new hard drives to my old as much as possible given the failures I had with my previous system. I copied the entire PLEX Media Server folder to the new PC but I am not seeing the libraries. The assigned User name on my new system is different than the previous PC. Do the user/server names need to be identical in order to use the old database?

No.
Without the data from the Windows Registry branch of Plex Server, you won’t be able to transfer your server absolut cleanly.
You will have to reset all your various Plex clients and pin the libraries of the new server to the left side bar (and remove those of the old server).

I presume that the primary Plex database file got damaged during the course of the crash.
Try to restore one of the backups of this file: https://support.plex.tv/articles/202485658-restore-a-database-backed-up-via-scheduled-tasks/
