Tried Plex Live TV/DVR this weekend

I’m on the latest app and Plex server.

I’m finding it still buggy, but better then what it was last year when I tried.

I’ve experienced the Apple TV app crashing, and sometimes causing the server to stop communicating with the tuner. Once I restart the Plex media service, it will start working again.

I’ve also noticed when I slide down from a channel I can’t always slide over to see what’s “also airing”.

Lastly, when changing around channels and once I land on a channel and slide down it’s showing a previous channel I was watching. If I close out the app on Apple TV by double clicking and sliding up, reloading the app, it will start to work again.

Things have improved, but I reverted back to Channels DVR.

These bugs need to be addressed before I could consider it my go to DVR solution.

Also, it would be great to see Plex add the ability to skip commercials like Channels DVR does. I rather see a pop up to skip commercial then options to delete commercials.

Channels DVR is the dogs bits when it comes to Live TV & DVR. I would prefer to use Plex having bought a lifetime pass for just that purpose but the difference in performance is like the difference in day and night.

Im not understanding if you are knocking channels dvr or saying it’s better?
