Hi, I’m trying to play blu-ray rips in mkv from the shield to apple tv 4.
The trouble I’m having is that the playback stops quite often and buffers and says server it not powerful enough to transcode.
The problem is with the DTS-HD and TrueHD audio track, as if I manually transcode the sound track to FLAC 7.1 and replace it with that, there no problem at all playing the file, and audio gets transcoded to EAC 7.1.
also DTS-HD 7.1 gets transcoded to only EAC 5.1?, while TrueHD 7.1 get transcoded to EAC 7.1. But both with the problem I describe.
Is DTS-HD and TrueHD that taxing to transcode compaied to FLAC or is there a bug at play here?
I have attached logs from server and apple tv after playing a movie with DTS-HD 7.1 and gets transcoded to EAC 5.1
