Hi,
So, i’m not sure where to put this one. (So if it is wrong, please place it right moderator!)
Anyway, I have 2 PMS’ in my home network. One on my Mac Mini (which acts as a small NAS) and my big main pc with a lot of storage which acts as a archive for media that i’ve already seen.
So, the point is that (I think) both are interfering with each other… I can’t connect them to my out side network and i’m away of how networking works in general. My Mac Mini has been setup as DMZ host so I can access all of it everywhere (yeah i know, security risk). Therefor the PMS should be accessible on domain.com:32400/web/ (which it is!). Unfortunately, PMS itself is not able to determine a local and external IP address and can’t add it to the Plex DB. (See: https://puu.sh/qoqlg/f51b66933e.png)
For my second server, I have a portforward for port 80 and it is setup on port 80 in the Remote Access tab. It has the same problems with local and external IP discovery. But it works when i go to domain.com/web/.
Since I use the ATV4, and iOS/Android app in most cases I can’t connect directly to my servers outside my home network…
And Going to Plex/web directly isn’t a viable option on mobile…
I hope somebody could help me out with this!
Thanks,
Sem
