That’s completely unrelated to my issue and it’s never going to work - LG only allow TrueHD to pass thru from HDMI inputs - no onboard app is ever likely to work. If you read a bit harder - the issue here is that TrueHD audio doesn’t get transcoded - the app just throws an error and stops.

Yes exactly → TrueHD does not get transcoded The usual simple solution for Plex would be, when a device does not support that output, to transcode or primarily if available choose another audio track with same language :wink:

You are talking complete nonsense! Until a very recent version this worked with no issues at all. All TrueHD content transcoded just fine. Your original response is going on about passthru and now you’re talking about transcoding - it’s one or the other. Not both.

1.41.7.9823 fixes the issue I had. Cheers!
