Try out LiveTV functionality / 4K playback

I’d like to test LiveTV functionality. Do I need to become a premium member first or do you offer some trial?
Also, I can’t seem to play 4K BluRay rips (in MKV format residing on a Synology DS414) on an AppleTV 4K. They play fine with Infuse. Am I missing something?

In the meantime I’ve read several complaints about 4K/UHD playback so besides the DS414 being not powerful enough this is another reason to not go Plex.
Also it seems that Plex does not support Digital Devices devices. Thirdly, for checking out / testing these things I am not willing to pay for a complete month -especially when it is expected that none of the above works.

Guess I stay with Infuse & TVheadend on ATV. Work and play flawlessly. Thanks again for the answer.
