so My brother built himself a new Server. when he tried to give me access, all he could find was to send me an invite.
when i click on the checkmark to accept said invite, it circles/ spins for a minute, and i get a red pop-up saying “request failed with status code 500”
repeat ad-nauseam for days now…
I tried to ask this question over on r/plex, but it turns out that for some reason unknown to me, my reddit account has been Shadowbanned! yay!
also, how do I remove his old no longer functioning server(s) from my list?
Do you or your brother have any sort of automation set up. Got a sticky key on your keyboard? your account logs so something trying to accept about 30 times a second with Plex for Windows player app. that is probably causing some sort of rate limiting.
in general by clicking on their username on the Manage Library Access settings. unde the libraries tab under " You have access to:" their servers should appear with the libraries you have access to. if you click on a server there should be a leave server button.
Not sure about his setup, but on my server, no, it goes straight to the Internet
On my desktop that I log into it from, yes. ( Server running “headless” on win 11, log into it with remote desktop)
A couple ad blockers* and nord VPN…
when I‘ve tried to accept, i’m not using a browser instance, i’m using the plex app for windows
*a few Firefox extensions: Privacy badger, adblock plus, popup blocker ultimate, malware bytes and that PC has Malwarebytes real-time protection running…
but when i try it logged into the server via remote Desktop,( none of that running on the server) there’s no difference, still get the same Error…
Looks like you removed the existing access to other servers from your account but I cannot figure out why you cannot accept. I’ve let our accounts team know about it but not sure how long it will take them to figure out.
