I have added music to main music folder and it is supposed to automatically update but nothing happens. I manually update the library, scan the library, refresh metadata. Nothing. While it is happening I click on the activity and it is scanning the new files its just not adding them to my library. I optimized, I cleaned bundles, and still nothing. What do I do?
Update: I tried creating a new music library and it finishes real quick and says nothing is there. It’s acting like they’re no files in the folders.
My music folder is my iTunes media music folder. I load it into iTunes, do any necessary edits, and it usually instantly gets scanned by Plex and its then in my music library. Its broken down by artist folder then album folders inside. I haven’t had an issue before yesterday. The last time I added any music was this past winter when I added the Halloween Ends Score. I added movies and TV shows this past week no issue. Those movie folders are on externals but the music is on the Mac internal HD. So i don’t have the foggiest why this started happening.
I also checked PlexAmp and when you look in folders, the folders for the new stuff is there, it just says the folders are empty. But the folders aren’t empty. It’s the weirdest thing.
As an update, I again was able to add a TV episode with no problem. Still no music.
Additional update: I have tried to watch the media that I have added within the last day and a half and it won’t play. I am getting an error code. Error code: s1003 (network) so i have no clue what that means. Everything I added earlier in the week can still be watched no error codes…
I don’t see any path listed for your music so I will ask again what is the folder path in your music library. If it is the iTunes folder then what is that path to that folder
I click on the new music library and it says it is empty. And all the new shows I have added look like they are there but then when I try to view them an error pops up as if there is no media available.
I have the same issues since a few days now. It was not brought on by a server update afaik.
Any files added to the watched folder does not get added, but it does trigger a scan. Any files deleted from the folder are removed from the library. When adding them back, the library does not get updated.
I have checked file permissions, ran database repairs on top of the usual reboots.
I have generated new Plugins, Agents and Data directories in my Plex local files.
My file names are not up to the requirements, however I have not had any issues with it for the past years until now
